Memories

I loved this idea, it was on my cousin, Holly's, blog.

One BUSY Week

It has been a pretty crazy week. First of all, my parents were staying up in Snowbird, using their time share. We went up last Saturday night and had a fun time playing card games with my mom, Brad, and Niki. My mom whooped us all!

We went back up to Snowbird on Wednesday and did all the fun activities: the zip rider, the alpine slide, and we took the tram to the top. It was gorgeous and Brady loved it, and wished he could have a tram for all his hunting trips to give him a bird's eye view to spot deer. And sure enough we saw a deer on the mountain.

Wednesday night, I headed to Girls' Camp. It was my first time going to camp as a leader, and it was very.... different. I just wanted to play with all the girls rather than be the leader. But, it was such a neat experience, and I loved it! I had forgotten how awesome girl's cam is. Although I was very excited to get home and shower.

But, I wasn't home very long. We packed up the same day and went to Brady's family reunion at Payson Lakes. It was gorgeous! We went fishing out on Box Lake and caught tons of fish. We made some pretty amazing smores at night. (Check the chocolate all over Brady's face!) We didn't get home til midnight on Saturday night (or Sunday morning I mean) and I was so grateful to get home and sleep in a bed! But, it was a very fun week.

Independence Day

We had such a fun 4th of July this year. I, like my friend Amy, absolutely LOVE the 4th of July. We headed out to G-ville on the 3rd. We had a little fire in the backyard and roasted hot dogs and made s'mores. Then we slept out in the tent. It was so hot and then the wind picked up, but it was still fun.
We went to the good 'ol Grantsville Parade. There were two actual floats this year I think. Here's some highlights of the parade.

Brady loves to hold Alyssa. And I just loved watching the parade with my love!

All the kids were so cute at the parade. They loved getting all the candy. Stratton loved it when the big semi-truck came along. He got him to honk!

Only in Grantsville does Napoleon and Kip show up in the 4th of July parade.

All the kids looked so cute in there 4th of July outfits. After the parade we came back to my parents' house and had a BBQ while the kids ran through sprinklers.

We took Emily and Ashley to the park for the carnival. They loved it! Here they are coming down the giant shark slide and riding on the swings.

The girls insisted on doing the Gladiator thing. They were hilarious! The helmets were way too big for them, and they could hardly even lift up the big sticks. But, they did good knocking each other off. Then they wanted to do the climbing wall. Ashley did so good even when a huge wind picked up she kept on going and made it to the top.


The fireworks were really fun. My mom and I made carmeled popcorn for everyone, just like my Grandma Lisenbee used to do. Stratton was loving the fireworks. I wanted to get a pic of Brady and me watching fireworks, but Brady closed his eyes on purpose because he said the flash hurt his eyes.

Baby Brock

Some of you already know, and some of you don't. But, my sister Rebecca had her baby last week. They got a beautiful baby boy named Brock Anthony Donahue. He was born on June 23rd and weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. He's such a cutie! He looks just like his older brother Alex when he was born! This is the 23rd grankid for my parents.

South Willow

This last weekend we went camping up in South Willow Canyon. It was so much fun! It was the first time we got to try out some of our new camping gear that we have been acquiring.

Brady made this grill to put over the fire. So we made hamburgers right over the fire, it was so fun, and they were yummy!

My parents, Loie and Ef, came up to enjoy dinner with us in the great outdoors!

Brady got to test out his new hatchet and loves it!

We got to sleep in the new tent that I got Brady for Christmas. It was perfect! Although it was hard to get to sleep because the people in the camp just down from us were drunk and got in a fight and finally the sherriff came to break it up. Crazy!

Skydiving

Some of you may have seen this on the news. All my cousins, my uncle, and my Uncle's mother went skydiving together. My uncle's mom is 98 years old! She's a firecracker! Check out this video:

Happy Birthday Dad and Grandma!

Yesterday was both my Dad's and Grandma's Birthdays. They are both wonderful people and I'm so grateful for their examples. They are both beacons of light in my life.

My dad has always been a rigtheous example to all those around him. He is a knowlegable spiritual leader. But, he can also be the life of the party! I love you dad!

My Grandma Lisenbee just turned 91 years old. She has lived a life full of selfLESS service, to her family, to her ancestors, and to all those around her. She is the picture of virtue, kindness, and humilty. I love you Grandma!
