Brady surprised me with a weekend get a way to Midway! We started the trip by taking Stockton up to Evanston to stay with Brady's sister. We checked out their new house that was being built while we were there, too.
Then we headed to Midway. We got checked into our room. Savannah was enjoying the luxury of the Zermatt Resort!
We decided to take a walk around and explore. We went to go check out The Crater. I had never really heard of it. But, it was super cool!
We decided we definitely wanted to go swimming in there the next day.
Brady wanted to check out the Crater Springs golf course. We asked one of the kids at the cart station if we could cruise around on a cart for a while. He said we could. So we bundled Savannah up and went for a spin!
The colors of the fall leaves were so beautiful!
We went up on top of the Crater to look down in. But, I was more fascinated with the view from on top. Here's a lovely shot of the Zermatt Resort.
We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Z Chop Haus. Savannah came along and was an angel the whole time.
Brady got the special: Buffulo Ribs.
I got bacon wrapped beef medallions. And we got sauteed mushrooms to go with it. Oh my YUM!!! It was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had! The meat was cooked to perfection! Brady's ribs were so tender and flavorful! Definitely a meal I will not forget.
We watched the BYU vs. Utah State football game. Savannah conked out in Brady's arms after being fed.
But, then she was up again wide awake and happy. We propped her up and she watched the game with us, like she was the queen of the bed!
Savannah was sprawled out on one of the beds and took the whole thing up. She slept great! Little cutie, relaxin' on our vaca!
The next morning Josh and RoShawn came down and brought the kids. While Josh and RoShawn went to the Crater, we took the kids swimming. They had a fun (despite Stockton's sad face in this shot.)
After swimming we all had lunch together and the guys went golfing. We took the kids for a drive and got them to sleep for a while.
Then it was our turn to swim in the Crater. Stock was a little nervous but he loved it.
He liked us to stay close "as a family."
The Joneses went went up on top of the Crater and looked down at us.
If you look closely, you can see my yellow life jacket.
What a fun get-away!
