We got to go to the zoo with some of our friends. McKinley is Stockton's little friend that lives around the corner and they are in preschool together.
It was a unusually warm day for November. It was perfect for the zoo!
A huge portion of the zoo is under construction. They are adding an "African Savanna." The kids thought it was awesome that they were adding a "Baby Savannah." I wonder what they really thought was being built! Can you tell that Stockton REALLY likes McKinley?
Checkin' out the elephants.
Funny face boy!
They thought it was hilarious that the elephant was eating a pumpkin!
Up close and personal with the rinos.
Stockton, McKinley, and Mason in the Eagle's nest.
Otters. I hadn't seen this new water part of the zoo. It was pretty cool!
Seals.
Eye to eye with a seal. LOVE this pic!
Love the pose McKinley!
Got to see the new baby giraffe!
We were near the Jaguar cage (you can barely see it through the brush), we couldn't see him at the time. But, Stockton saw a bird in the tree and for whatever reason growled at the bird to scare him away. Then the jaguar growled back! It was crazy!
Just "lion" around.
Riding the carousel!
In the bird atrium. They were actually looking down at a giant tortoise at this moment.
Proof that I was there ;)
We love our friends!
Proof that Savannah was actually there. She slept the entire time! What a little angel.
We had such a great day!
