At my 37 week check up I was dilated to a 3, and my Dr. thought I wouldn't make it to my next appointment. I came home and was having crazy contractions and I was bawling my eyes out because I didn't feel like I was fully prepared to have the baby yet. I had so many things I needed to get done! Well, I I made it another week. So at 38 weeks I was dilated to almost a 4. I really took it easy after that because I wanted to be around for my baby shower that night. Then after the shower was over I went crazy getting things ready, thinking I was going into labor any second. But.... nothing! Finally at 39 weeks I felt like I was very ready. On the night of August 7th. I was feeling very, very, very ready! I made a quick trip to the store for some last minute groceries (riding the motorized cart of course, because I could NOT walk.)

Sure enough during the night I started having pretty consistent contractions. About 5 am I started timing them, and they were 8 mins apart. So I got up and got showered and called my parents to tell them to start heading in to watch Stockton.
But, the contractions really picked up once I got up and going. And I was worried that my parents weren't going to make it in time. So we dropped Stockton off with a neighbor and rushed to the hospital, with the contractions being about 3 mins apart by that time. We got there about 8 am.
But, of course once I got in there and hooked up the contractions started slowing down. My parents made it and my dad took Stock while my mom came to the hospital. We settled in for a longer labor than I had expected.
I got an epidural around 11 am. Which was great! I didn't feel like I really needed one yet, but I learned last time that you don't wait until you NEED one, because then by the time the anesthesiologist actually shows up, you're about ready to die! So really the labor was not bad at all! I was very relaxed and comfortable!

Feelin' comfy after I got an epidural! |
Then I got the news that my dr. had the day off. And the doctor on call was going to deliver my baby, Dr. Wilson. We asked the nurses about Dr. Wilson and if he was good. They just looked at us and said, "We don't know who that is." OH, GREAT! So we got a greenie?! Come to find out he's just new to this area, but has been practicing in Phoenix for years.
I was ready to push for quite a while, we were just waiting around for Dr. Wilson to arrive. Finally he came and he acted like a lost little puppy. He didn't know anyone and didn't know where things were. It was sad. I asked him if this was his first delivery in this hospital and he said yes! Luckily, it was a very easy delivery! Two pushes and she was out!!!!
She came out with tons of dark hair and was as pink and healthy as could be! She was born at 3:34 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz., 19 inches long. Which I couldn't believe! How did a push out a baby that was almost 8 lbs?!
I just cried and cried holding her for the first time! She was so beautiful and I was just so happy to get her here!

Dr. Wilson, AKA "Dr. Lost Puppy" who delivered Savannah. |
When Stockton got to the hospital he was more interested in playing on Daddy's iPhone than really seeing the baby! Silly boy!
Grandma and Grandpa Orgill were so happy to see her!
Our little family!
And another family shot.
Later they got her bathed and we did her hair and put a little bow in. I just couldn't get over all that hair!
Mommy and daughter... I love my little angel girl!
Daddy loves his little Savannah. (You can't really see it, but Brady had on a Savannah shirt.)

All ready to go home! (Notice another Savannah shirt!)
