La Oruga Muy Hambrienta
Look at this DARLING gift Stockton got from Kendall Hood, who went to Peru with me and we were companions in the MTC. She sent two books in Spanish- one with colors and then The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Then she MADE the cute onsie to go with it. Isn't that just cutest thing you've ever seen? And people, she's got a new baby, too! A boy, Thomas, that is only a month older than Stockton. How does she do it? Thank you so much Kendall! You are the most thoughtful, talented, clever, crafty, ambitious woman I know!

Teach A Man to Fish
So last week I got sick... like down in bed for 3 days kind of sick. Brady was so good to take care of Stockton for me. He stayed and worked from home on Thursday. He was so busy changing diapers, feeding Stockton and trying to get in 8 hours of work. So what did he do? He taught Stockton how to take care of himself of course!
He "taught" Stockton to hold his own bottle ... or maybe Stockton just happen to be in this position long enough to make it appear as though we was holding his bottle.
He taught him how to sit up in the big boy chair!
The truth is, Brady set Stockton down here and went to go do something. Then he couldn't remember where he left Stockton! He looked in the swing, the Bumbo, the activity mat... but no Stockton. Finally Stock made a noise, and he found him!
I'm just so grateful for Brady's help. I couldn't have done it without him and I didn't want to get my little baby sick. I quarantined myself in the bedroom and only saw Stockton from afar. This was about the only view I had of Stockton for 3 days... just in the doorway of my bedroom. It was killer! But, now I'm better. Thank goodness!

4th of July
We had a good old-fashioned, small town 4th of July. As an Orgill Family tradition we all go over to Ef and Loie's to roast hot dogs and marshmellows in the back yard the night before. Then we watch Dusty's exciting firework show ;) Then we all sleep out in tents or on the tramp. But, this year since we've got Stockton and not enough guest beds, my parents let us three sleep in their king sized bed.
As you can see, Stockton was sprawled out and hoggin' the whole bed!
Like this hometown hero. Who is he? What did he do to deserve a spot in the big parade? Well, he is dawning his amazing galoshes and sexy white legs on John Deere Chariot of course. Assets worthy of any hometown praise. (I love how it looks like Stratton is standing in just the right spot to censor something.)
Oh, yeah, baby! The biker mullet. Business in the front, party in the back!
And the classic chic mullet. Or maybe it was just a tribute to Farah Fawcett.
Look closely... poor horse. I'm surprised he survived last year's parade.
Yes! A Wal-Mart semi-truck! It doesn't get any more American than that!
I have no idea. Although there was some serious head bangin' goin' on from our neck of the woods ( I guess Dustin was a real fan.)
We're 10 mins away from the Great Salt Lake, so what do we through from the floats? Oh, salt of course!

Such a cutie Yankee Doodle Dandee.
All the kidlets.
Okay, now these next photos are real dandies. These are things that you ONLY see in the Grantsville 4th of July Parade...

The rear view of our lawn mower patriot.

Dustin was also a huge fan of these teen sensations. Too bad they don't care.

After the parade we had a fun lunch with some amazing pulled pork sandwiches made by Ef. The kids played in the sprinklers and the adults just sat around and laughed.
That night we enjoyed the amazing Grantsville fireworks show. Surprisingly Stockton slept through the whole thing. I couldn't believe it!
It was a big day filled with small town adventures. I love it! I wouldn't have it any other way.
