Giving Thanks
We spent Thanksgiving with Brady's family and had a wonderful time. Of course the food was amazing!
Brady carved the turkey.
Stockton was excited for the feast to begin. For Stockton's first Thanksgiving feast he enjoyed some turkey and sweet potatoes baby food. Well, he didn't enjoy the turkey very much, but loved the sweet potatoes.
Love the festive bib from Grandma Haider.
Stockton loved playing with Poppa.

Basket Case
So... Stockton was playing nicely with some toys. But all of a sudden I heard a helpless little whimper, I look over and this is what I find....
Somehow he had flipped the laundry basket (with a bunch of socks)over his head! He was so frustrated because he was trapped! But, I couldn't help but laugh and take a few pictures of the incident. (Notice the LONG tongue sticking out.)
I love how he's still trying to get the remote even though he's got laundry basket over his head.

Halloween Baby
I love Halloween! I love having an excuse to dress silly and making people laugh. But, now it's even funner with a little one to dress up, too!
Stockton and I showed up at my office to show off our costumes. I was a deer and Stockton was a hunter. Pretty classic.
Then we made our way over to Daddy's office and showed off his real costume. Winnie the Pooh! I'm sorry but I've never seen a cuter Pooh Bear.

Notice the candy in Stockton's hand. People would put the bowl of candy in front of him so he could pick out one, but he was smarter than that, he would try to take the whole bowl! But, he had at least one peice of candy in his hands at all times to chomp on the wrapper!
We hardly had any Trick-or-Treaters, but we did leave for a while to go visit our friends Eli and Max. Max was Optimus Prime.

We ended the night with our annual Halloween tradition: watching a scary movie. Now last year we watched one that freaked me out so bad that I was jumpy for a week. So I didn't want to get too scared this year. So we watched a really cheesy, low-budget Canadian version of Sleepy Hollow. It was so dumb, but somehow I still managed to get scared during the night.

Brady's Birthday
We celebrated Brady's birthday last week. He wanted to eat at a sport's grill so we could watch the BYU game. They sat us right in front of about 10 big screens with different games on each one! It was so much fun.
Stockton all decked out for the sports grill. (Note the "head band" is actually and arm band)
I told Brady I wanted to check out the shed that he and his dad have been building. Little did he know, his birthday gift was hidden in there... the gift was a bunch of yard tools. We walked in the shed and his reaction was so funny! He said, "Oh, crap! There's birthday gifts in here!" He thought he wasn't suppose to see them. I just laughed and said, "Surprise!"
It was funny to blow out the candles on his cake because now there are so many that the ref started on fire and the basketball hoop melted!
Another night we went bowling with some friends and family. I love the T-shirt Brady got from his brother!
I love you Brady and hope you had a very Happy Birthday!

Sittin' pretty... good
Look who can sit up!?! I can't believe it! I had to get some things done today, but Stockton did not want me to set him down. Finally I set him down between my feet to kinda support him, but he didn't need my support! So I sat him on some blankies and he sat up and he did so well. He's about 5 and half months old, and I don't know if this is normal for his age, but I was impressed. There were a few times that he fell over, but I have to admit, it was so cute. Because he would be completely stiff and just tip over and I would yell, "Timber!" and he would giggle. I love this little boy!

My Little Dough Boy
So Stockton just turned 4 months old on Monday! How is that possible? He is just such a happy smiley little boy and he brings me so much joy. But, I can't believe he's getting so big!
Here he is at 4 months old... happy, healthy, and chubby. You can see the bandaids from his shots :(
He went in for his 4 month check up and he's living up to his name still. He weighs 15 lbs. 1 oz. - 58%. And he's 23.5" long -only 10% !!! What a little chunk. The Dr. said his legs looked like biscuit dough in a can when you pop the can and it bulges out! It's so true. He's got such chubby legs.

This video was this past weekend up in Logan at Brady's sister's house. Stockton just loved being in his diaper and was so happy. When I gave him kisses I couldn't believe the reaction I got from him. I'm so glad we got it on video. Turn it up so you can hear it folks. WARNING: It's the cutest thing you've EVER seen!
I tried giving Stockton some rice cereal today. He kept making this face, so I think he hated the taste, but he still ate it and did suprisingly well.

La Oruga Muy Hambrienta
Look at this DARLING gift Stockton got from Kendall Hood, who went to Peru with me and we were companions in the MTC. She sent two books in Spanish- one with colors and then The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Then she MADE the cute onsie to go with it. Isn't that just cutest thing you've ever seen? And people, she's got a new baby, too! A boy, Thomas, that is only a month older than Stockton. How does she do it? Thank you so much Kendall! You are the most thoughtful, talented, clever, crafty, ambitious woman I know!

Teach A Man to Fish
So last week I got sick... like down in bed for 3 days kind of sick. Brady was so good to take care of Stockton for me. He stayed and worked from home on Thursday. He was so busy changing diapers, feeding Stockton and trying to get in 8 hours of work. So what did he do? He taught Stockton how to take care of himself of course!
He "taught" Stockton to hold his own bottle ... or maybe Stockton just happen to be in this position long enough to make it appear as though we was holding his bottle.
He taught him how to sit up in the big boy chair!
The truth is, Brady set Stockton down here and went to go do something. Then he couldn't remember where he left Stockton! He looked in the swing, the Bumbo, the activity mat... but no Stockton. Finally Stock made a noise, and he found him!
I'm just so grateful for Brady's help. I couldn't have done it without him and I didn't want to get my little baby sick. I quarantined myself in the bedroom and only saw Stockton from afar. This was about the only view I had of Stockton for 3 days... just in the doorway of my bedroom. It was killer! But, now I'm better. Thank goodness!
